Tapered roller bearings

The modified contact line between rollers and raceways reduces stress concentration. Tapered roller bearings can bear large radial loads and axial loads. Since tapered roller bearings can only transmit unidirectional axial loads, another tapered roller bearing installed symmetrically with it is required to transmit axial loads in the opposite direction.
The most commonly used tapered roller bearing is the single row tapered roller bearing. In recent years, small-sized double-row tapered roller bearings have also been used in the front wheel hubs of cars. Four-row tapered roller bearings are used in heavy machines such as large cold and hot rolling mills.
