Cylindrical roller bearings are simple-shaped bearings consisting of a cylindrical rolling element (roller) in line contact with the track. This bearing has a large load capacity and mainly bears radial loads. Since the friction between the rolling elements and the rail ribs is small, it is suitable for high-speed rotation.
Double-row cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in the main shaft of machine tools because of their high rigidity against radial loads. This type of bearing mainly uses steel plate stamping retainers and copper alloy turning retainers, but some also use polyamide retainers.
